Phillip Modlin serves as Lead Pastor of Amplify Church, where his visionary leadership, passion for people, and commitment to Christ’s mission have helped lead the church into a remarkable season of growth and impact. Under Phillip’s leadership, Amplify successfully launched a new campus and has grown from 350 attendees to over 2,600 this Easter.  Amplify is a thriving ministry reaching more people from all walks of life with the Gospel.

 

Phillip is known for casting vision, building healthy leadership teams, creating systems that generate momentum, and helping churches move from where they are to where God is calling them to be. His passion for church growth, leadership development, strategic planning, and organizational health makes him a trusted coach and consultant for pastors and ministry leaders seeking clarity, alignment, and breakthrough.

Above all, Phillip is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ, a devoted husband, committed father, and dynamic preacher and leader—in that order.

When he’s not leading leaders or preaching God’s Word, you’ll likely find Phillip cheering for Tar Heels basketball and Buckeye football. Strange combination? Not really…he just likes teams that win.
